Ditto Basics

Ditto functions in two main parts, the web-app and the Figma plugin. This is a quick tour of the Ditto web-app.

Projects Page

This where you can view all of the Projects in your Ditto workspace, sorted by time of creation. Find this page by heading to beta.dittowords.com/projects or clicking the Projects tab at the top of any page.

Individual Project Page

This is where you can view and edit the text in your project. A project maps 1:1 to the Figma file it's linked with. Find this page by clicking into a project on the Projects page.

  • We group text by the top-level Frame it lives on in the Figma file.
  • Ex: in the image above, "Welcome", "User Info", and "Confirmation" are all Frames.
  • Click on a piece of text to view its details in the right panel.
  • Edit its properties (status, text, notes, tags) in the Edit tab.
  • View a detailed edit history in the History tab.
  • Unselect all text in the project to view the Project History in the right panel.
  • Click the button next to the search bar to select multiple pieces of text at the same time.

Search Page

Search and filter text, tags, and status across all of the projects in your workspace. Find this page by heading to beta.dittowords.com/search or clicking the Search tab at the top of any page.

  • Click on a search result to view its details in the right panel.
  • Just like on an individual Project page, you'll be able to edit and view history for the selected piece of text.
  • You'll also be able to open the Project it lives in.

Account Settings Page

View your workspace details, connect your Figma account, or invite teammates to your workspace. Find this page by clicking your name in the top right.
