The new Ditto beta

A whole new Ditto.

Psst… Ditto just got a full rebuild. Be the first to test out a faster, smarter way to collaborate on copy.
Get started in the new Ditto
Smart, fast, and flexible
Bring in only the text you need to work on, and build as you go. Stay focused on the right work: Ditto lets you use text as building blocks and keeps things connected as you iterate.
Build a reusable text library
Link and reuse text within projects with just a few clicks. Then, publish text when you’re ready to reuse it across projects. Drag and drop text from your library directly into designs.
Built for all of your text variations
Whether you’re managing translations, A/B tests, or personalization, add a variant to any text item to keep it all in one place.

Review variant text in designs, without interrupting your designer’s flow.
Ship edits directly into development
Whether one edit or one thousand, ship copy updates without waiting on developer bandwidth.
Integrate directly with Ditto’s CLI so that you’re always working with your product’s most up-to-date copy.
What’s different about the new Ditto?
We rebuilt Ditto from the ground up to be easier to use and more powerful. Here are some key differences:

  • Import just the text you need — no more hiding or reorganizing text. Repeated text stays in sync automatically, too, so you can focus on words, not setup.
  • Link repeated text items within a project. Save your component library for the text you reuse across projects. Publish only your most reused text to the library once you’ve worked out what you want to reuse.
  • Browse every place a piece of text shows up in designs, with updated Design Previews. Get more design context, and always know where you are, with the new ability to navigate Ditto projects by design frames.
  • We’ve prioritized smooth, multi-player experiences, because product copy is a team sport. Real time updates, change notifications, and more.
  • Linking is easy, and automated. Link repeated text and it’ll stay linked if a designer copy-pastes that frame. Ditto will also recommend text to be linked, and suggest components to publish.
  • Syncing has gotten (way, way) faster. By only importing and iterating on the copy you care about, syncing edits will take seconds.
